When we arrived at paws in, our dog was at home, but the dogs at the house made us feel so welcome!. Nevertheless, Carolyn recognized my boyfriend and asked about... read more his dog.. from years earlier. The room was cozy and confortable, a lovely bwd and shower. Carolyn took care of us like she was our grandma, offering cookies and tea before bed, and a delicious breakfast when we woke up. It rained while we were camping in the area, and she even called to make sure we were ok. I will never stay anywhere else in the area.

Carol (& her senior dog Kip) are wonderful hosts! My wife & I stayed for 4 nights recently and during a particularly cold spell, even for Maine. Everything about the... read more bedroom, private bath & common areas were clean, cozy and suitable for our needs. We especially liked the dual mattress heating pads for individual comfort. While we very much enjoyed our stay, we think our 2+ year old border collie mix enjoyed his stay even more! He loved mingling with the other guest dogs at the property and the added daytime attention that Carol offered while we were out & about. The complete breakfast Carol offered, varied daily and was a welcome start to the day. I think we were even able to skip lunch most days! The property is located just a couple of miles away from the best that Bethel has to offer and a short trip to Sunday River which was the main reason for our visit to the area. Looking forward to coming back soon!

I would 100% recommend this B&B as an awesome place to stay for skiing at Sunday River, Leaf Peeping in Maine, or just a chance to get away - with... read more your dog(s)!
Unlike many B&Bs/Hotels that are "Pet Friendly", Paws Inn allows you to leave your dog (or cat!) when you go out for the day. Either leave your furball in your room, or leave him out to play with the other furry guests!
My boyfriend and I (and our PeanutButter) stayed here for two nights to go skiing at Sunday River. Our room (the 'pink' room) was small but lovely and each room has a private bathroom (and I believe each of the three rooms has a queen bed). The common areas (living room, dining room, kitchen, porch, fenced in backyard area) are kept SO CLEAN for a place that has 1-10 dogs running around at any given time. No fur flying here. The owner, Carolyn - 'Bailey' - is super friendly and loves animals, and you can tell. She will provide you with a great breakfast and also load you down with snacks to take to the mountain ("Because the food is just too expensive there!"). She also has a big stack of hankerchiefs for the animal guests, and lots of dog treats.
Bailey's dog, Kip, is a wonderful Shepherd/Collie mix, and made PeanutButter feel at home right away. She enjoyed her day romping around with him and some of the other guests' dogs.
I loved our time here and will definitely be back.
